So August 3rd was my last day working at Starbucks.
Reasons I left:
Hours: I was only being scheduled around 20 hours a week. So I was having to pick up other people's shifts and work 6 days a week just to get 30 hours of work. . . Um, ya. That is retarded.
Pay: I was only making 8.99 an hour. For the work I was having to do to pick up for other people's slack, it was not worth it. I was suppose to be starting my training for my advancement but even then I still wouldn't be getting enough hours so it seemed pointless.
The actual job: I have been working at a Starbucks for 1 year and a half. I was SO ready for a change. I mean, Starbucks is basically fast food. That can get old really fast. So I am thankful with my new job, I won't have to do any dishes.
My new job: I am a Customer Service Representative at a telecommunications called Continuant. In a nut shell, Continuant sells phones and maintenance agreements to other companies. As a CSR, whenever another company's phones are having problems(they have no dial tone, calls keep dropping) I would put in a ticket to dispatch engineers and make sure they get everything they need.
I started there on Monday and I am loving it. Just doing the training right now but I love the people that I work with and I am really excited to start working. This is something that I haven't done yet so I can't wait to see what it is like.
